Hand takeoff and pencil
It costs nothing, every crew knows it and it needs no login. It breaks down when a count is missed or a member size is read wrong off the sheet. Pool Span Pro keeps the sizes from the engineer's sheet and counts the pieces for you.
SketchUp
It can model almost anything and has a large community. For a pool cage you model every member by hand, so the time goes into drawing. Pool Span Pro starts from the enclosure and the survey instead.
Pool Studio by Structure Studios
It draws screen rooms with presets and gives homeowners a clear picture of the pool area. It has no member sizing and no takeoff for cages, which is where Pool Span Pro focuses.
A generic CRM like Jobber
It is a strong tool for scheduling, jobs and billing across many trades, and it has no 3D. Pool Span Pro has a CRM built in for enclosure jobs, with the model attached to each job.
